JOHN CLARK is a native of New Orleans, where his family has lived for twelve generations. He coordinates La Terre Institute for Community and Ecology, which sponsors social ecological projects in New Orleans and on eighty-seven acres along Bayou La Terre in the forest of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. His most recent book is The Impossible Community: Realizing Communitarian Anarchism (Bloomsbury, 2013), and his next, The Tragedy of Common Sense,will appear this winter from Changing Suns Press.
